Well, kids, it's official. I'm pissed again. Our president never ceases to amaze me with his moronic, disgusting behavior. How we elected a man to office who would use the phrase "evil dudes" in a public statement has a little more than a screw loose. And NOW, after months of telling us that they can't release video for security reasons and fear that messages will be translated to "sleeper cells" in the states and around the world from Bin Laden, he's saying he *will* release the one tape that seems to convict Bin Laden of the attacks on the 11th. We've not been allowed to hear anything that might give his side of the story on the global conflict that was brought into most people's consciousness by the attacks on the 11th. So, what makes them think there aren't messages in this tape. What makes them think that Bin Laden is a moron or that he hasn't thought about how to get a message through in the U.S. at a point in time when he might be feeling backed into a corner and need people to come out of the woodwork to complete his plan, if, in fact, he IS responsible for these attacks, for which the US still hasn't given us any concrete evidence. THEN, there's the whole issue of due process and how this man, even if he DID mastermind the Trade Center attacks, should have some semblance of a fair trial, as if that's even possible and how extremely prejudicial this tape will be for anyone who might see it. I can't even really begin to articulate how irritated I am with the whole situation...but then, I've been irritated for a long, long time. Why should I expect W. to start doing the right thing now?
